Summary: An afternoon on the beach, and Sam gets inspired...

The pair sat on their large blanket, wrapped in each other's arms as they watched the sun set. The throng of people that had crowded the beach earlier, had thinned to a few couples brave enough to watch the wonderful show in the cooling night.

"It's beautiful." Sam whispered softly into Janet's ear.

"Not as beautiful as that first smile on your face when you come back through the 'Gate." Janet countered.

Cassie merely rolled her eyes as the two adults acted more like love-sick teenagers. "You two are gonna make me sick."

The pair laughed. "Just you wait, kiddo. One day, it'll be you sitting here with the love of your life and doing the same exact thing."

"Ewww... Sa-am! I don't think so!" Was all she said as she dove her nose back into a book on the life and times of the Backstreet Boys.

The adults chuckled and watched more of the sunset... each replaying the day's activities through their mind.

Spreading out their large blanket, Sam and Janet watched as Cassie took off immediately for the water's edge to play in the surf.

"I am so glad she's adjusted so well." Janet said with a smile on her face as she watched the teen join a group that was playing Frisbee through the surf.

"With a mom like you, how could she not?" Sam beamed at her love.

"You've helped a lot too, Sam. Who's helped her with her school work? Who helped her with the fear of being accepted?"

Sam's face showed a sheepish grin. "Ok... so I had a little to do with it. But you're there for her everyday. It's hard sometimes to go on missions for so long. To be away from the both of you."

Janet sat down and plunked the cooler on a corner of the blanket to keep it from moving in the slight breeze. "I know. But when we're able to make a trip like this, it makes up for all the other times." She waved a hand and smiled. "Sit down, relax and enjoy yourself, Samantha. This spring break is for you too... Not just Cass."

Settling her tall form onto the blanket, the blonde stretched out her legs in front of her. Leaning back onto her palms, she closed her eyes and tried to relax in the sunshine that was beating down on them.

It took all of two minutes for Sam to start fidgeting. Sitting up, she had to be doing something. Down time was never a pleasant thought for her. She was so "on-the-go" all the time at home, that it was difficult to stop and smell the roses.

"Sa-am... Don't make me order you to relax!" Janet watched as her love's hands started picking at the blanket.

"Ok... Maybe I'll just go for a quick swim." She announced as she pulled her t-shirt off and exposed the deep blue swimsuit she wore.

"He-ey..." Janet's voice indicated that she'd thought of something.

"What?"

"Did you remember to put on sunblock? You know how easily you burn."

"I didn't even think about it." Giving the brunette a heated look, and took the lotion from her back pack. "Wanna have the honor of doing my back?"

Quickly grabbing the bottle, Janet's voice sighed over Sam's ear as she moved closer. "I'd rather be doing you... all of you..."

Whimpering, Sam closed her eyes and waited for Janet to administer to her fair skin's needs.

Janet grinned evilly as she put a large dollop of lotion on her lover's back and began to rub it in. When Sam realized that Janet was giving a massage in addition to merely rubbing the lotion on, she knew she was in for trouble. Her lover was frisky and eager to see Sam lose control right there on the beach.

Quickly turning to face Janet, Sam's gaze locked onto her lover's innocent one and she took the bottle away from her. "Thanks." She choked out. "I think I can handle the rest." 'Swim... Need to go for a swim... Need to cool down...'

Making quick work of removing her shorts, Sam lotioned up the rest of her exposed skin and dropped the bottle on a corner of the blanket. "I'll be back."

Janet laughed as she watched the blonde's slim form racing for the water, dodging slower moving bodies in her haste.

'Serves her right. How many times has she done the same thing to me?' A little evil snicker escaped her as she pulled out a book to read as she enjoyed sitting in the warm sunshine.

Diving into the cool ocean water and making steady, strong strokes out, Sam swam until she was far enough out to be away from the noisy teens but still be able to see Janet on their blanket, a sly grin on her face.

Bobbing in the water and trying to cool her heated libido, Sam thought, 'She knew exactly what she was doing.' A sly grin of her own appeared. 'Two can play this game.' Starting in to shore, a plan formed.

Janet was lost in her novel, not even paying attention to what was happening on the beach around her. The story of the Chief Medical Examiner of Virginia had her totally entranced. So it was with a loud squeak as water dripped on her, that she realized Sam was back.

"Sa-am! What in the--" She paused as she saw a couple looking their way. She sat up quickly. "What in the world has gotten into you?!?" She questioned in a slightly lower tone.

"Nothing." She giggled. "Just thought that I'd get your undivided attention."

"You sure as hell got it." Putting her book down, she looked up at the dripping woman standing before her.

"Good." Sam sat and laughed at her. "That's what I wanted."

Quirking her brow, "Care to explain?"

The gleam in her eye and the soft chuckle that escaped her were all that Janet needed to see and hear.

"No, Sam." She whimpered, knowing that trying to deny her was useless... Not when she had that look in her eyes. "Not here... Please?" She eeked out.

The blonde shook her head. 'Oh, yes... Here...' "Why not?"

"There's people around and... and..." Janet's eyes flitted around to take in all the other beach goers. "No..." She bit her lower lip as Sam came closer to her, looking like a lioness on the hunt. "Sam..."

A soft chuckle escaped her lips as she reached a hand out to run down the doctor's arm. "What's wrong baby?"

"Nothing..." Janet picked the book up and tried to focus her attention on the story. 'You wanna talk about a lost cause...'

Reaching over Janet's legs, Sam opened the cooler and took out one of the iced bottles of water and an ice cube. Seeing how Janet looked a little hot, she took one cube and traced down her lover's spine.

Janet tried to stop herself from jumping a foot in the air and screeching like a banshee. She was only half successful.

Landing with a soft groan, Janet put her book down and sat up. "Samantha!" Came out in a whispered gasp.

"What?" She replied with nonchalance.

"You are being awful! You... you..." Janet stopped in mid-stutter as Sam leaned in to kiss her and let the ice cube slide its way across pouting lips.

The shiver that raced through Janet's body was exquisite. Never before had Sam been this daring, this frisky with others around. "Sam... I want you..." Janet whispered, with a nervous glance around at the others on the beach. Seeing Cassie still out in the surf, laughing with the other teens and as she turned back to face heated blue eyes, she saw other couples making out on the beach. 'No wonder you wanted to come here...'

"You knew about this beach didn't you? You knew..." Janet stopped and nodded to a female couple nearby that was kissing passionately.

Nodding, Sam reached out and let a cool fingertip trace at the top of Janet's bikini. "Susan told me about it... It's pretty much anything goes here..." She let her hand slide down to cup Janet's breast and thumbed the already stiff peak.

Sighing long and low, Janet let the worry go and enjoyed the smooth strokes of Sam's hand down her bare belly. The blonde stopped when she cupped her lover's heated center and felt the proof of Janet's desire. "Is someone a little eager?" She teased the swollen lips, tracing back and forth, lightly with a finger. The blonde didn't allow her to answer as she captured those delectable lips with hers once more and slipped a digit in to explore the slick heat.

Closing her eyes, the brunette lost herself in Sam's ever so slow strokes up and down... in and out. Caressing the sensitive little nubbin every chance she had, until Janet was shaking with need...

Sam felt the change in her lover's breathing, took note of the little quivers that were increasing in intensity, and smiled. Nibbling at her ear, the blonde whispered, "Let it go, baby... Come for me..." Sam increased pressure on the little nubbin, making little circles with her thumb as she dipped her fingers in once more.

That was all it took and Janet exploded, swearing she saw stars in the bright light of day.

"Sa-am..." She moaned out before her lover kissed her deep and long.

Pulling back, Sam slipped a finger into her mouth and savored the flavor of her lover. "Yes, Love?"

"I don't know whether I should kiss you or spank you."

Sam laughed and let a knowing smile pass across her lips. "Knowing you, you'll do both tonight when I bring you back here at midnight to make love under the stars...."

Janet shivered and grabbed the bottle of water. After taking a deep drink, draining half the bottle, she pressed it to her neck in an attempt to cool herself.

"Is that a problem?"

"Oh.. no. Just trying to keep from bursting into flames at the thought...."
